I was able to receive my cake in time for my baby shower! My husband did all the arrangements, but I loved the fresh strawberry cake! One of my favorites in the Summer! Or honestly anytime 😉 Everyone enjoyed it, aside from my nonsugary friends have said the inside amazing and outside could use less sugar according to them, but I enjoyed the delicious balance of both being pregnant. Thank you so much for this delicious cake!

This used to be my go to bakery. However, the quality and freshness of the last couple of visits has forced this to be my last. The chocolate pie was way too heavy and too sweet for my liking. The cupcakes were dry and had obviously been sitting for a long time as the icing was just chipping off. And the strawberry cake which was my favorite was dry and tasteless. And whomever cut it, didn't know how to cut cake as the container was only 1/3 of the way full. The only thing edible for consumption were the cupcakes for the dog. I'm done. This isn't the 1st time over the last 3 months the items have been off. So it's obvious quality of items they serve aren't as important as it used to be. Good bye.

Hummingbird cake, I love it. I think this is the only place aside of a church bake sale you can get some! This was my birthday cake choice so everyone could pick their own slice flavor and it did not disappoint!! I would suggest on busy days they put a satellite counter for preorders to pick up-one lady in line was very concerned about being late to a party not expecting a line 30ft out the door down the sidewalk! So worth the wait!!

The girls were so sweet. It was my first time and they could tell , there’s so many options. It smelt amazing in the bakery! I got the strawberry cream cheese, poundcake hands-down the best poundcake I’ve ever had in my entire life. I will be back. Update 5-20-26 I have been here a crazy amount and everything I’ve had has been delicious. I’ve had hummingbird, red velvet, blueberry crumble, devil foods, chocolate, red velvet, birthday, lemon poundcake, regular pound cake and all have been 10/10!!! I plan on trying everything while I’m here on my work contract!

I recently visited Maxie B’s for the first time in years. I decided to try their German chocolate cake. I was pleasantly surprised that it had the perfect amount of sweetness. I do not like overly sweet cakes like most the kinds sold at the store. This had a perfect texture and I loved the coconut custard filling. I’ve since visited Maxie B’s a few more times and tried a variety of their cakes. My #1 favorite is the Black Forest cake which they usually only have around winter time but I luckily was there on a day when they had made a whole one. Black Forest cake is my favorite cake of all time and they did it perfectly, using two types of cherries (sour and dark sweet) and a perfect filling and lovely whipped topping. I would get this every time if they had it year round! My other favorites so far are the key lime cake, the old fashioned chocolate cake, the chocolate mousse cake and the pineapple coconut. The German chocolate is probably my second favorite after the Black Forest. Every cake I’ve tried though has been excellent! I only wish their prices were a little better… $9 for a slice of German chocolate cake is a bit steep. Most of their cakes range between $7 - $8 a slice.B
